What's everyone using for their animations these days? I know FLASH seems to be all the rage, but the learning curve for the Adobe product seems pretty high.
I've used a little DIRECTOR (outputting to a final flash file), but there's got to be an easier program out there. Should I bite the bullet and just run the damn tutorials, or is there hope for a lazy-fied simpleton like me?
After Effects?

I've used Toon Boom a bit, and it's pretty good. Really well suited to hand-drawn styles of animation. It replicates the analog process fairly well, onion skin and all. I recommend it to anyone who wants to sharpen up on their physics and bare bones character animation, because it really gives you an opportunity to quickly make adjustments and preview the action.

Sadly, I haven't used Flash or other vector anim progs, but when I watch Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends it really makes me wish that I did!
